Cleanup is under way around Central Louisiana after a strong storm walloped the area early this morning, knocking down trees and power lines.


The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana will host the 13th Annual Tunica-Biloxi Pow Wow in Marksville Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Chief Joseph "Alcide" Pierite Pow Wow Grounds in Marksville.

Mary Benjamin, age 53, of Cottonport passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home, Dupont. Arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport.
